My question to people who have passed is, would you recommend going through Schweser relatively quickly and then going back through it slowly? Or going through it quickly and going straight to the practice exams? The reason I ask is because I'm going through each section relatively slowly, making sure I pass the concept checks and questions after each lecture to like a 80-100% pass rate, but I feel like I'm getting down into the weeds too much trying to learn the minut details that may only consist of a question or two, or zero on the exam.
So if I find something particularly difficult should I just skip it and make progress through the Schweser books? Is this strategy of mine flawed or legit? Wanted some opinions on this because I feel like i've wasted months in digging through these books. Are the CFA books enough to pass, or are supplementary materials necessary? I've seen a lot of people post about Kaplan's material. Is Schweser worth the price? Naturally I would like to be as prepared as possible given the price tag for level I. Any other advice or suggestions?

Now that the course includes course material, is this still recommended? My ego tells me I don't need it, but perhaps you guys can give me a reality check.
